The New York School of Homeopathy offers a 4 year
professional training course designed to give students a strong understanding
of homeopathic philosophy coupled with a working knowledge of
homeopathic methodology and its clinical application. Our goal is that you
become a confident and excellent practitioner of homeopathy, and you will
apply your knowledge effectively and with enthusiasm.
The course includes 10 weekend
classes per year.
We also offer the course, ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY;
PATHOLOGY AND DISEASE, for any student of homeopathy who would like to complete
the CHC requirement. This course is aimed at providing students with the
basic knowledge of the human sciences. The pathology, structure and function of
the human body will be covered. The highlights of this course include
understanding the eleven organ systems that constitute the human body. The
cytology and histology of these organ systems are also important to homeopathic
study and practice. Lectures will be supplemented with laboratory sections in
almost all topics taught. (The CHC has
approved this course which fulfills their requirement for Anatomy and
Physiology; Pathology and Disease)
This course includes 6 weekend

Basics of Homeopathy

This year introduces the basics of
homeopathic history, philosophy and application. Using the principles of
homeopathy, we will explore the nature of disease and its cure.
You will begin work with the practical application of homeopathy by hearing paper cases and observing
videos of exciting cured cases. The homeopathic software programs will be
projected and illustrated, demonstrating how they are used to help solve these
cases.
Most of the first aid remedies and many acute
and chronic remedies are covered. You will learn to work with the Repertory,
and discover how to solve basic cases.
Completion of the first year
will give you a foundational knowledge of homeopathy and the tools to apply
remedies in first aid situations. You will be prepared for the second year
when we begin the study of remedies in groupings.

This year deepens your first year studies
with a more rigorous emphasis on the treatment and understanding of complex
chronic diseases. This includes the practical philosophy behind
homeopathy as well as a thorough knowledge of chronic homeopathic remedies.
More intensive exposure to clinical cases and situations through paper,
video and live cases enhances the learning process.
Using a unique
method of teaching and studying that emphasizes the grouping of remedies, a
broad spectrum of homeopathic remedies are covered.
We continue with the
historical and philosophical component of the program.

In this year, the focus is on clinical
studies and includes guest lecturers. We prepare you for the establishment
of your own practice. Through exposure to many cases and cures you will be
able to discern how to consistently apply homeopathy with great results.
We will begin our discussion on the issues of practice management.

This year is a clinical and personal
mentoring year during which a supervisor will assist you in creating a portfolio of your own
privately taken cases. We
will help you prepare for the National Certification
(CCH) application and exam, and guide you in setting
up your own homeopathic practice. A special graduation
exam and project will be required.
